Pre-Deluge!!

Pictures speak a thousand words! The picture below is taken from the Times of India.
Place: Juhu, Mumbai.
Time: Around 1 PM on 5th June 2008.

The reason for the flooding was the high tide. Not a single drop of rain and look what happens? I wonder if we were Malaysia, a tropical forest region with rain predicted almost everyday....

Firstly, it rains anytime, and once it rains its no longer a rain, its a thunderstorm. Mumbai would have already become extinct.

Btw, I am sure, pretty sure that in the coming few days I will be able to share with you pictures with more of water and even less of land. Thanks to the hard(ly) working people who govern and maintain our city, we are blessed to retain so much water! Unfortunately, it is retained on the roads, railway tracks, housing compounds and everywhere but where it really should have...

So pre-deluge is over and done with... lets see what we have in store this monsoon season..

Met Dept, any predictions?
